Since 2005, I have completed both my Bachelor and Master of Science in Criminal Justice. I choose that particular major because of my passion for the law, and the injustices that a lot of urban dwellers have faced. It is my long held desire to teach criminal justice in the public school system, so that young people can be educated about what they may encounter should they ever have to deal with the justice system.
Outside of my desire to teach, I also plan to open an investigations company, specializing in DNA testing. Over the past 20 years, there have been too many accounts of young men spending time in the penal system for a crime they didn't commit. Financial restraints force them to accept sub par legal assistance; my goal is to provide affordable help that would aid them in fighting for their freedom. Because of this long-term goal, I am also getting a second Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
My tutoring experience began with the Black Star Project over two years ago. I tutored the after school program for Chicago Public Schools in preparation for ISAT testing. In addition, I do private tutoring for grammar school and high school, as well as adults.
