I am a Venezuelan writer who lives in Chicago since 2008. I have been teaching Spanish since I arrived to the country. I use a mental map method to teach the language: starting from a conversation with the student about themes, activities and areas of interest, I build a common ground to speak in Spanish. I have published short stories and articles in several publications in Venezuela, the United States and Internet, so my Spanish is one of the best you will find.
From November 2008 to March 2010, I worked at Pearson Education, one of the biggest publishing company in USA. I worked at the Bilingual Department in a specific project that came to the end. But there, I learned a lot about the education standards needed for Spanish instruction at the schools.
