I am a recent graduate from Loyola University, where I received a BS degree. I am thus taking two years off before applying to Medical School in order to save for this large expense. I have a wide variety of interests, including traveling. My family is originally from Belgium and I have been privileged to live in four different countries including Belgium, the UK, and Australia. Although difficult at times, I have loved this experience because it has both broadened my interests and allowed me to create a global network. Although I have mainly tutored science subjects and french, those being my strongest subjects, I am also knowledgeable in the social sciences. I have worked with both young children and college students and always adjust my teaching style in order to appease this wide array of ages. Everyone has a different learning style and I try to distinguish my student's style as quickly as possible in order for my tutoring to be rendered effective. For students that learn well through lecture, I show students how to properly work through problems in order to help them render the skills needed to master similar problems. I find it extremely important for students to independently solve similar problems by using or adapting the demonstrated methods. For other students that learn better through images or tangible examples, I use relevant games or models in order to increase the student's understanding of the required text.
