I grew up in Chicago. I attended Lane Technical HS and graduated in the top 5% of my class in 2001. I went to Carleton College for my undergraduate studies. I majored in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry. During my years at Carleton, I worked as a chemistry tutor for extra cash. For ten years, I was an active member of the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Group, where I was a youth leader and sunday school teacher. In working so much with the youth, I learned to quickly adapt creative games into my teaching, in order to be an effective teacher.
