Are you looking for someone to help you or your child with academic or linguistic support in Spanish or English? Prepare for an upcoming test? With over six years of teaching experience in the United States, Latin America, and Asia, I have been exposed to a variety of learning styles and developmental needs. I work closely with each of my students to assess their individual needs and strengths so that I can effectively help them in surpassing their academic hurdles. I am now a graduate student at DePaul University, where I'm studying for an M.Ed. in Bilingual Bicultural Education, as well as Elementary/Middle School Education (K-9th grade). I am bilingual in Spanish and English and am also pursuing teaching endorsements in: Bilingual Education, Spanish, ESL, and Social Studies. I have an ESOL teaching certification from the University of Cambridge, as well as two bachelor's degrees from Oregon State University. In addition, I have had extensive experience working with students who have IEPs.

I am currently an ISEE tutor for a private tutoring agency and am trained and comfortable in using the ERB preparation materials that are used in ISEE tutoring sessions.

Praxis

I have taken the Praxis I and Praxis II (Spanish) and scored in the 95th percentile on both exams. I am familiar with the study guide books that are published by Barron's, ETS, etc. and can help students to effectively prepare for these exams.

Speech

I'm very interested in speech development, linguistics, and language acquisition processes. I've dedicated a vast amount of time toward working with English language learners on improving their speech patterns, with special attention given to pronunciation and accent reduction.

Social Studies

I have had 36 undergraduate credits in social studies courses and I am currently pursuing a teaching endorsement that will allow me to teach social studies to K-9th graders.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
