I graduated from Western Michigan University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism. I went back to school to earn my teaching certification and my Masters in English. After earning my first masters, I went back to school and earned my Masters in Educational Administration. In 2009, I received my NBCT (National Board Certification) after completing 2 years of work. Earning the national board certification is a great achievement where there are only 6 in my district who earned it and approx. 3,000 in the state of Illinois.

I'm a highly qualified teacher that has been teaching in a public high school for 11 years. I've taught students with IEP's, college ready students, and students who were below grade level.

Microsoft Outlook

I have taught fellow teachers how to use Microsoft Outlook to create email accounts, merge students emails into a contact list, set up meetings, and Send and receive messages. I am able to provide direction with Outlook.

Microsoft Publisher

Microsoft Publisher can help create signs, brochures, pamphlets, post cards, newsletters, calendars, and more. You can use Microsoft Word to create gif or jpeg images without redesigning.

I spent 8 years designing programs, flyers for clubs and community organizations, including the Relay for Life. I used Publisher in the classroom for newspaper design, making calendars for the students, and taught students to use publisher in making jpeg images.
