Hello!
My name is Julia; I would love the opportunity to tutor you or your child and help you achieve your goals - whether that's helping your child review last school year, getting them a head start on next year's material, or giving you the help you need to re-invent yourself and give you an edge in today's employment market.
I'm currently a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I am a dual-degree student pursuing majors in both East Asian Languages and Cultures (focusing on Chinese) in the College of LAS as well as International Business in the College of Business. I am a James Scholar in each school, in addition to being a Stamps Scholar, Chancellor's Scholar, Cohn Scholar, and being named to the Dean's List each semester. As a member of an honors fraternity, Phi Eta Sigma, I tutor my peers in a variety of subjects, including Chinese and economics.
I am originally from Wilmette, where I attended New Trier High School. In addition to being involved with various clubs and teams in high school, I was a Math Resource Room tutor and a Reading/Writing Center tutor. I was also a teaching assistant through the SILC program for an honors pre-calculus course and an honors Chinese 2 course. I was an honors/AP student throughout my time at New Trier and was named to the honor roll each year. My junior year, I began college tests and earned a 36 on the ACT, as well as the honors of AP Scholar, Illinois State Scholar, and National Merit Finalist.
As a soccer referee, coach, camp counselor, babysitter, and tutor, I have had experience helping students of every age and ability. I hope my knowledge and experience can be of help to you!
