A passionate believer in the ability of every child to learn, I am very committed to helping every child learn. After earning the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree at Northern Illinois University, I taught at four colleges and prided myself at helping every student to learn, especially those students who previously had experienced little success in school.

Over the past two years I have taught in the elementary grades, especially in special education and learning challenged classes. I enjoy helping children to learn, especially children who are having difficulty learning.

I am presently working on a master's degree in special education at Roosevelt University and will be earning the LBS1 certification to help learning and cognitive disabled students.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have over ten years of experience teaching college and every elementary grade. I have earned the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree and am presently studying for a master's degree in Special Education, preparing to work with with students who are having difficulty learning.

Study Skills

After earning an undergraduate degree and two graduate degrees and teaching college and elementary school for 15 years, I have developed a very specific understanding of how to study for tests and complete assignments acceptably. I also have the teaching skills to be able to advise students leading to academic success.

Special Needs

I have worked with Special Needs children for the last two years and have returned to school to earn an M.A. degree in Special Education. My specialty is working with primary age children with cognitive and learning disabilities.

Bible Studies

I earned the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree in Biblical Studies, have served as a minister, written Bible story books for children, and taught Bible courses at the College of DuPage, as well as at local churches.

Public Speaking

I earned a B.A. degree with a major in Speech Communications and have presented public speeches and presentations throughout North America for over 20 years. I have also taught college courses in public speaking.

College Counseling

I earned the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and taught at a community college and at three universities. As a faculty member, I was involved in advising students regarding transferring courses and selecting colleges to attend, as well as making plans for their careers. I know the questions to ask and am able to guide students in their college plans.

ADD/ADHD

I have been working in special education classes for the last two years and am finishing a graduate degree in Special Education. I also have an Ed.D. in education with many years of experience teaching.
