My name is Eric, and I am a committed child advocate who understands the need to differentiate instruction to facilitate diverse learners and their needs. I am also a creative, collaborative, and enthusiastic special education teacher skilled at addressing student needs and fostering their academic development.
I am a graduate of Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois. I received my bachelors degree in history and secondary education and my masters degree in special education. During my time at Aurora University, I was able to work with a wide range of students through internships and student teaching experiences. I helped instruct middle school students with varying cognitive and emotional needs and developed and implemented lesson plans to meet diverse learners' needs based upon Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. I also instructed students in reading curriculums focused on building fluency, word meaning, and reading comprehension.
I have always enjoyed working one-on-one with students, which is why I may be the ideal tutor for your child, and for students with reading and comprehension needs.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with your child.
