I am an independent employee training and development consultant. I train in corporate America working with small-medium-large employee groups as well as with individuals. I train on computer skills. I train on a variety of professional development topics like communication skills, business writing and leadership development. Recently, I have started coaching middle managers looking to move up in their organizations.

In addition, these past few years I have worked with various groups of unemployed individuals needing to improve existing computer skills or learn new ones in order to secure their next job. I train end users on Microsoft operating systems and Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher applications, customizing when required.

Some of the feedback I have received from class participants--"very patient," "excellent communication skills," "able to take complex information and break it down into manageable and easily understood concepts," "easy to work with."

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Microsoft Outlook

I am hired by corporations to teach participants how to use Outlook with the guidelines designated by their organization. We cover email, calendar, tasks and contacts using materials on the market, customizing as necessary when requested.

Microsoft Publisher

I teach Publisher for adult education programs through community colleges. Typically, we use training manuals and exercises that are on the market but can customize course content if necessary. When necessary, I work one on one with participants either at a class break, before or after class or some other prearranged time.

Microsoft Windows

I am currently working on a corporate roll-out of Windows 7 and Office 2010. Let me help you make the transition from Windows XP and Office 2003!

Piano

I studied piano for many years as a child and teenager. I entered and won local and statewide piano competitions, attended the National Music Camp, taught piano to the neighborhood kids, played in recitals, did some ensemble work, etc. My freshman year in college I was a music major but after one year decided as much as I loved music and the piano, I didn't want to make it my life's work. It is a beautiful side interest that I am fortunate to have cultivated early on.

As an adult I play piano for the pure enjoyment of it! I am interested in teaching beginner adult students. Although I am not a certified piano instructor, I have played for a long time, am versed in the classical music repertoire and have taught enough to share my skills and knowledge with adults who would like to bring the joy of piano into their hearts and homes!

Public Speaking

I work as a trainer in corporations. All of my work requires excellent communication skills, speaking in front of employee audiences of various backgrounds on a variety of training topics.

Yoga

I am a certified yoga instructor. I have been practicing and teaching yoga for 15+ years. I teach privately as well as in yoga studios. I love the health benefits that yoga brings into my life and look forward to helping you bring those benefits into yours!
