Before I get into my teaching interests and strengths, let me tell you a little bit about myself! I understand and speak some Spanish, but fluent in speaking and writing in Greek. I am very creative and love to cook and bake. I also have a background in Art. Lastly, I took piano lessons for 10 years and played for various church ceremonies.
And now for teaching/tutoring...
I am a proud graduate from DePaul University with a major in Elementary Education. I believe I have the proper skill set necessary to be your private tutor. I am flexible with tutoring hours and location.
After extensive hours spent observing and teaching in classrooms kindergarten through 8th grade, I have acquired knowledge and experience to handle learners of all grade levels. Additionally, the most important skill that I obtained during this time was the ability to adapt to each student's educational needs and wants; thus, I am confident that when I teach, students are able to walk away becoming lifelong learners.
I believe that students of all ages regardless of their abilities/disabilities will become learners through differentiated or modified instruction. Moreover, hands on activities, technology, & unique lessons will be implemented to meet students' educational needs.
One of my biggest strengths is delivering instruction based on each student's developmental level. Providing lessons in distinctive ways will keep students engaged and motivated to learn and walking away feeling successful.
