Dear Parents and Students,
I am a high school senior and I would be very grateful to have the opportunity to tutor students who need help understanding difficult concepts. I have had experience working with elementary age kids. Over the summer I assistant taught a wilderness adventure class at Roslyn Road elementary school. This experience allowed me to learn how to work with kids in a way that allowed them to truly understand what they were learning, as shown by the improvement they showed throughout the class. I have also spent lots of time babysitting my neighbors who are all currently in elementary school, and have found ways to get them to focus and complete tasks they have started, which can be difficult for some children.
I pride myself in my academics. This year, I am enrolled in five AP classes and 3 honors courses. I maintain a GPA above a 4.0 while also being involved in band and sports. I have studied throughout my schooling career to find study strategies that work. I would love to help students struggling in any subject, but my two favorite are math and science. Working with elementary school kids is important to me because it is a crucial time in their development and it is essential that they understand the basic concepts.
