My tutoring approach is to highly individualize sessions to meet your needs and goals. I have over 20 years teaching experience in Illinois schools, both public and private. I have taught all levels of mathematics and am a State of IL certified teacher. My certifications include mathematics, ACT Test Prep, and GED.

During tutor sessions I draw on years of experience to identify students' individual areas of strength and weakness.

For students who are struggling, it is my job to ascertain specific areas in which a student may have deficiencies in background knowledge, to identify misunderstandings of basic or key concepts, and to individualize instruction to help students on a path to success.

For students who wish to excel, my experience provides knowledge of skills and proficiencies on which to concentrate. This helps students have a thorough understanding and mastery of concepts leading to confidence and helping the student to excel.

Most tutoring sessions occur at the Aurora Public Library, West Branch.
