I was born in Staten Island, NY in 1978. I have had a passion to become a physician (surgery) as well as teaching medical data/concepts since early childhood. My father whom is not only a surgeon in Florida, but also teaches medical students in their surgical rotations has guided and mentored me through this process. I have recently graduated from medical school and am currently preparing for my medical board exams hoping to start my surgical internship/residency soon. I have always asked the question "why?" during my education which has helped me to understand the processes involved instead of just memorizing the details. This has allowed me to develop methods of teaching science in a simplistic, easy to understand format. Once this foundation has been established, building a more complex UNDERSTANDING, not memorization, is key to retaining the information you've worked hard to learn, and at the same time, minimizing time consumed outside of the classroom.
Any questions or concerns regarding my experience will be attended to via contacting me through WyzAnt. Study hard and stay positive!
