Experienced Elementary and Middle School Tutor

Hi parents,

Is your K-8th grade child having difficulty in Reading,Math, Science and /or Social Studies? Do you reside in the Northwestern suburbs or North Chicago? I can help alleviate your stress. As a former Reading and Special Education Middle School Teacher with over 10 years of experience, I have the tools to help child become successful. I incorporate technology, with rigorous academics, and align them with the common core standards to help your succeed. Currently I am working as a part-time tutor for children that are having difficulty in Reading, Math, and Science online. I perform a pre-test and post-test to monitor the success of your child, additionally I can work with your child's teacher, to uncover your child's needs. I provide continuous feedback with my parents, and provide tools and tips to help your child to become independent.

In addition to completing the Alternative Certification Program in 2009, I hold a B.A. in Communications, and a M.S. in Human Services. I have experience both in and out of the classroom, I am a mother of three children, ages 3,7, and 10. I am a hands on teacher, I teach my lessons using Power Point, You Tube, Music, and array of other methods to help your child retain the information, and perform better in school and on tests. I also can help with home schools as well. I look forward to meeting you and your child.

I completed the Illinois Alternative Teaching Certification Program May 2009, at Governors State University. I also completed the Illinois Basic Skills Test and Content Area Test.

I hold a Bachelor's of Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Communication, both Oral and Written. I have over 10 years experience of Middle School Teaching.

I hold a B.A. in Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
