As an undergraduate, I was exposed to learning strategies from musicians, psychologists, mathematicians and scientists alike. I teach these combined strategies to all my students, so they can be successful in their classes and tests.
My major duty as a tutor is to share these learning strategies to help students find what works best for them. For example, within the first few sessions, I teach my students the rule of three 3's. This simple rule/strategy gave me a photographic memory of a piece of sheet music that I had to memorize for our marching band field show my freshman year.
My students also learn a technique that I call "word math". Using applicable every-day examples students develop a way to translate English into math and math into English. This technique simplifies word problems to the point that the questions practically provide the answer.
These tools combine to create the perfect learning strategy for chemistry, physics, biology, algebra, calculus or just about any study.
It is very important to find a tutor that matches the student's needs. The first hour is satisfaction guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with the first hour you will not be charged and you have no obligation to continue. Contact me if I can help enhance your learning process.
