I am a student who is studying to get a degree, with a Mathematics major. I intend to get my Ph.D. in Mathematics, and go on to teach at the graduate level.
I've always wanted to be a teacher, and tutoring is a great way to get experience. I find the challenge of helping students, usually individually, but sometimes in a group, is fun and rewarding.
In the past, I've tutored several AP Physics students as well as Pre-Calculus and Calculus. I usually start by going through any assignments the student has and then going back over any concepts the student is having difficulty with. I can either structure our sessions around the current homework assignments, or we can go back through specific concepts the student needs work on.
At BSU, I've taken classes through Differential Equations in Math and I am versed in all the lower-division Physics concepts. I'm self-taught in computer programming, and can tutor C++, BASIC, and HTML.
