If you are looking for an experienced tutor for math (all levels through calculus), chemistry, or physics, then there is a good chance that I am your man.

I majored in mathematics and minored in chemistry in college, but also have extensive tutoring experience in many different situations. I began tutoring as a peer tutor in high school, continued tutoring in college for fellow students through the Office of Multicultural Affairs, taught math and science in American Samoa, and spent three years tutoring at Portland Community College's Math Center tutoring many different math and science subjects.

Not only have I tutored at the college and university level, but have also worked with students in high school, middle school, and elementary school. I have tutored students with learning disabilities and other students whose first language was not English. I love working with students who have the same love of learning that I do, no matter what level or what obstacles they may have in their way.

I love the challenge of finding the best way to communicate with a particular student. I believe that every student has the capacity to learn as long as they have the proper tools and motivation. I desire to see every student fulfill their potential and build their confidence when they realize that they are capable of learning. I am an ordained minister and served as a pastor for a small church for 6 years, and I have brought over my caring for people from the ministry to tutoring.

I try to keep the mood light because I believe that a relaxed student has a higher capacity for learning, but I do not want to waste any time and will be sure to keep students on task.
