I'm responsible, patient and effective to teach you lots of unique tips to help you remember and improve your skills permanently. I have become a tutor since I went to school in University of Dubuque, in Chinese, math, physics and business. Also I attended some middle schools and government event as interpreter or ESL tutor. Back to China, I was very good at the math and math related classes when I was in school. And I'd love to help the people around me about the stuff that I'm good at.
I have always considered teaching and learning as two related parts of a journey on which professors and students embark together. I take great pride in my teaching, and I see serious academic research and writing as a means to become scholar and a better teacher. This being said, I have a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Dubuque, Dubuque, Iowa in 2012 and a Bachelor Degree in International Accounting from Shandong Institute of Business and Technology, Yantai, China. I come from the most charming coastal city, called Yantai, in the province of Shandong. It is worth mentioning that I grew up in a very traditional Chinese family where education is the # 1 priority for kids and, I can confirm that my parents are and remain very strict, especially when it comes to school matters. Because of the importance of school they put on me, my parents as well as the Chinese educational system pushed me all the way from elementary school to college to be successful in all subjects. I spent countless time trying to elevate myself and be the best student in my schools in Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Physics, Accounting, GED/SAT Math and Trigonometry.
Ever since I came to the USA, I found myself caught up tutoring, as a volunteer, high school kids as well as college students in a variety of subjects including Accounting, Collegiate Math, Physics, Chinese and Business Simulation. These subjects come easy to me. I believe I am uniquely qualified for tutoring because of my experience and passion for the subjects I mentioned above. I am very patient and receive more satisfaction when a student tells me that he pass the class. That’s the most rewarding feelings and tutor can get.
I am always aware that-even at elementary level of learning- students already have a vast body of knowledge that, if properly activated, is helpful to both teaching and their learning process. For me, the most rewarding part of teaching is seeing my students connect what they already know with the materials I present during tutoring.
In my opinion, if you want to be good at something, you have to possess a very good foundation. A building without a good and stable foundation is vulnerable to any external forces.
