I have a B.A. in Radio T.V. Communications from Grand View College, a B.S. in Elementary Education from Iowa State University, completed credits at Drake University to have an endorsement in 5-12 Mental Disabilities Mild/Moderate and a K-12 Instructional Strategist II: MD from Morningside College. In the area of social studies I have a K-8th grade endorsement. I have taught children as young as 6 weeks old to college students in my 21 years as a teacher.

I am a member of the Golden Key Honor Society. Who's Who of American Educators is where I was nominated for membership by a student of mine who is in Who's Who of High School Graduates. Besides academic subjects, I have taught elementary school vocal music and was a folk dancing instructor at Grand View College.

As a teacher, it gives me great pleasure to see a student gain academically, socially, and behaviorally. I also enjoy working with a student's parents or guardians as we work towards a common goal for their child.
