My name is Erin. I'm an enlisted veteran of the United States Air Force with training as a software engineer. I'm also a graduate of the University of Iowa, with a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in English Literature and Political Science. I have over 10 years of experience as a software professional and a love of reading since I was able to hold a book.

I've devoted my life to the pursuit of knowledge and understanding of human pursuits. From my childhood growing up on my family's farm, to the United States Air Force's most elite intelligence software unit, every step has brought with it the joy of discovery. That's why I love tutoring. There is no greater duty than encouraging and fostering that pursuit in other. People can be extraordinary and they can do extraordinary things, given the right tools and encouragement. I've seen it countless times, and I'm glad to have the opportunity to see it happen again.

PHP

I've been a PHP developer for 7 years. I've developed numerous applications in multiple versions of the language, including the most widely-used version, 5.3. I've worked within a number of frameworks, including Symfony, CakePHP, CodeIgniter and Sapphire. I'm currently studying for the industry standard Zend PHP 5.3 certification, which I plan to take at the end of March.
