I believe that physics and chemistry can be fun. I have a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis on Physical Science that I received from UNLV. I also have classroom experience teaching chemistry and physics at a Las Vegas public high school, and have tutored algebra, geometry, and chemistry.
Professionally, I was an analytical chemist and health physicist for the U.S. Navy while serving aboard the USS Nimitz as an Engineering Laboratory Technician. While in college, I worked at a wind tunnel and an optics laboratory. I have been a nuclear power plant equipment operator and an operations instructor, teaching new and experienced operators to operate the plant. I am currently a power plant operator at a combined cycle combustion turbine power plant. These experiences allowed me real world applications of physics and chemistry.
