I finished my undergraduate studies with a double major in Spanish and history, and completed many education courses. This passion continued in my graduate work, finishing with a Masters in History with a focus on Spanish culture and history.
Almost as importantly, I spent almost six years living in Spain attending school. To help pay for school, while there I spent four years working part time teaching in a couple academies. My classes were predominately English as a foreign language, but a few were history courses (Spanish, U.S., and Western European) taught in Spanish to help mostly high school students prepare for exams.
In all of my classes I try to maintain a comfortable, positive learning environment. As for the subject matters themselves, I like to use a textbook as a guide while trying to incorporate more material to find ways to make the subjects relevant to my students' needs and if possible, to their own tastes.
