I retired from the Los Angeles County Probation Department in 2005 where I held the Position of Supervising Deputy Probation Officer. I had 37 years with the Department in Law enforcement.
My Probation work also included 6 years working in an Adolescent, in-Patient Psychiatric program as a Therapist and a Clinical Supervisor. I am a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
My background as a Deputy Probation Officer, Clinical Supervisor, and MFT has covered multiple job specifications. I have been a trainer; written training and job spec manuals; supervised professionals in a mental health environment; and have 37 years of Investigations and anti-narcotics background.
I have written manuals and taught classes in Investigations, Data Processing, Supervision, and HIPAA.
I was an alternate on the Los Angeles County HIPAA committee.
I supervised Clinicians and Probation Officers in an inpatient adolescent psychiatric program.
The experience I have had in Private Practice and Probation work is much too broad to
detail in a simple application.
I have strong skills in all areas, to wit: Psychology; Family Therapy; Writing; Mathematics; Leadership; Law Enforcement. I also have strong, self acquired skills in Oil Painting; French Horn; Woodworking (furniture).
My Academic background includes Minor coursework in Statistics; Chemistry; Zoology; Religious Philosophy, and Technical Writing.
