I have been teaching multiple subject matters since 1990, when I started teaching in the Fire Service. I started with live fire tactics with volunteer firefighters then moved on to teaching CPR. (American Heart) I soon became an Instructor Trainer with American Heart. As I switched from Public Safety to Respiratory Care, patient and family teaching became an everyday occurrence. Soon after, I was teaching Respiratory students in the clinical setting. After another move back toward the Fire Service, I assisted in teaching Land Navigation and map and compass skills for the Search and Rescue Team, as well as, basic rope skills. After all the years teaching, I have learned to be very patient and keep trying different angles until the information get across.

Algebra 1

I am well versed in Algebra and enjoy it. As a Respiratory Therapist, I was required to do Algebra in my head, on the fly, and accurately. I am able to do this because my Algebra education was excellent.

ESL/ESOL

I have completed the TESOL Certificate from Kennesaw State University and am currently persuing a BA in English. I have assisted other students of English from various backgrounds and nationalities.

ASVAB

I am a Navy Veteran, so I have experience with the ASVAB. My scores were high enough to go into the Navy's Nuclear Program.

TEAS

The TEAS exam consists of four sections: Reading, Math, Science, and English/Language Usage. As a Respiratory Therapist, I have experience with Science, especially Human and Biological Sciences, and Math. These subjects are used on a daily basis. My experience with other physical sciences and chemistry comes from my past involvement in the United States Navy's Nuclear Power Program. I also teach ESL, so there is experience with Reading and English/Language Usage.
