I am a Graduate of Georgia State University with a Masters Degree in German Language and Literature, and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. As I was working on my degree, I also had the opportunity to work at Georgia State University. I was teaching and tutoring German 1000 and 2000 level for over two years. It was the most rewarding experience I had. Foreign languages have always been my passion (I was lucky to learn three besides my native languages, so in total I speak six). In addition, I always wanted to become a university professor, and Georgia State University "confirmed" my passion. Teaching and tutoring help me open doors for others to different languages, cultures, customs, countries. I have lived and studied in Germany for many years. English was my major at the university in Germany. Living and studying in Germany has provided personal experiences that help me with my teaching and tutoring. Students can learn a lot more than the German language itself as I teach about the country, history, culture, people, customs, etc. as well.
I am currently employed by the Department of Foreign Languages at Kennesaw State University as well as the Department of Continuing Education at North Georgia State College and University.
I love to work in groups as well as with individual students. I have many different methods on how to approach the learning process. It is very important to me to value my student(s) opinion(s), so I listen to their questions and concerns, and make sure to work at their pace. Learning a foreign language is a lot of fun, but requires work as well, and I most certainly devote my knowledge and time to each and every student.
