My name is Lisa! I've been tutoring my peers or younger students ever since I've been in elementary school. I've always been the smart kid who everyone wanted to copy from. I have made all A's throughout elementary school to high school. I have even taken the GED test and the ASVAB test. Actually, on the ASVAB I scored so high (a 96) that I used to tutor potential enlistees for Army recruiters. I am also proficient in pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and preparing for the ACT or SAT.
I currently attend college where I am pursuing a degree in criminal justice. I make exceptional grades, and my GPA is a 3.97 on 4.0 scale. I have received the school's scholarship for my excellent grades.
I am a very easy, outgoing person, and that is reflected in my teaching style. I do not speak in a monotone voice to put students to sleep; instead I keep things lively and interesting! And most importantly, I am extremely patient. I will not judge you, criticize you, or rush you. I will explain something over and over again until you understand. And I do not use fancy or technical words to explain things. I am young myself so I can explain things on a level that you can probably understand better.
So if you don't like your teacher's methods, or are too scared to speak out when you have a question, or if you just find learning boring, give me a shout. I might just be the kind of tutor you need!
