I have been a freelance writer for over 15 years, having been published in a number of hardcover publications and in several electronic magazines and publishing websites (such as Suite101, Yahoo Voices, WriterAccess, Constant Content, and Ehow,). My huge writer's portfolio includes grant proposals, business plans, instruction guides, employment history documents, copy, promotional literature, and full-length articles; I also have creative writing experience (having published a children's book, a book of poetry, and a collection of short stories). Having established nifty short cuts and roundabout ways to simplify the writing process, I have taught people how to complete a task (as a writing coach) that seemed unending or unassailable. When necessary, I have completed projects (as a ghostwriter) for stranded authors and students. My approach when it comes to tutoring people on any aspect of writing (even at the basic level, such as for ESL students) is to break the process down, looking at each project as if it were a long connection of short but easy-to-manage pieces. A novel, a non-fiction book, a thesis, a dissertation, or a research paper does not seem as intimidating if tackled one paragraph and one short section at a time. The fuel that drives any good writing is research. Once you have the facts or the needed information, then it is just a matter of putting the pieces together like a puzzle. The process is easy when you do the right kind of research, when you learn to outline before writing anything, and when you have the right kind of guidance, editing or tutoring at your side. I provide that kind of assistance for anyone that needs it and, before you know it, your problem assignment is behind you, something that you can be proud of, instead of something that unnecessarily intimidated you. Please let me know if I can help you to complete your task or to enhance your writing skills.
