My tutoring method is to go over assignments and homework with the use of a standard math book where the assignment is given. I believe that constant reiteration and working of problems develop understanding of how to go about solving them later. The best teacher is yourself. I am only there to coach you to find the answers within yourself.
I have tutoring experienced in College Algebra, and Calculus. I have also some experienced in tutoring GED students. Normally I have worked for people in my family, friends or people with whom I have went to church with. All of them are confident of my abilities and references are available upon request. My experience in mathematics stems from my pursuit of a Mechanical Engineering degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I have taken extensive math courses and understand the fundamentals of algebra, calculus, geometry and trigonometry. I have taken the following classes, some in high school and some in college; Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Calculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Calculus 4, and Differential Equations. I have also taken college physics and optics. Throughout this regiment I have developed a fundamental understanding of mathematics problems and how to solve them.
My method of explaining is to work problems and examples.
By reiterating examples and various homework problems I can coach the student into understanding the subject matter so that he will be able to work problems independently. With the use of the proper resources of standard assigned text books and examples, with my help, the student can gain a comprehensive understanding of how to work any type of mathematical problem (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and trigonometry).
