I am a retired federal government employee and also a retired soldier from the US Army Reserve. I used Spanish to conduct special inquires as a government employee. I was also once assigned to an Army Reserve unit that had a Latin American mission and I received Spanish training, using materials from the Defense Language Institute.
I passed examinations required to be considered a highly qualified teacher in Georgia. I taught Spanish 1, Spanish 11 and Exploratory Spanish at a Georgia High School and Middle School.Prior to becoming a teacher, I was required to take advanced Spanish courses at the college level.
I majored in Business Administration in under-graduate school and I have a masters degree in education. Besides military training in Spanish I completed 27 semester hours (9 classes) of Spanish at the university level.
