I am an outgoing, enthusiastic professional currently pursuing a Master of Art degree in Elementary Education through the University of Phoenix. I have a Master of Science degree in Administration with concentration in Business Management. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Human Resources Management. I have excellent problem solving skills. I am well-organized and detail oriented. I have outstanding drive and determination and excellent communication/networking skills. I have patience and love for children and a strong desire to help them learn and grow. I also have good moral character. I am skilled in WordPerfect 6.0, MIcrosoft Access, Windows 'xp, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Mini-Tabs Operations. I have been a Substitute Teacher for several years. I have six months Paraprofessional experience and one year experience as a Prep Tutor. Thus, I have a lot of classroom exposure. I have been trained how to write my own lesson plans as well as how to follow other lesson plans precisely. I have been trained how to motivate children to work and to do their work the best they can. I have been trained how to interact with students and school staff on students' issues.
I have a passion for teaching. I am an excellent listener and speaker. I have excellent problem solving skills that may require me to think on my feet. I am a very supportive person as far as having the ability to get students to know that I am there for them if they need help with school issues or anything else that may be bothering them. I have excellent leadership skills and the ability to interact with students of all ages. I thrive upon my values which are my devotion of creating a learning environment that is diverse and supportive where students and teachers/tutors can interact in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust, my ability to encourage self-confidence, spontaneity, curiosity, and self-discipline while helping the emotional and social development of students, and my ability to assist in improving students' physical health and physical abilities.
