I enjoy teaching ASL and have over 7 years track record as a volunteer. Currently I am a volunteer at Atlanta Area School for Deaf, teaching bus drivers ASL. I speak 6 Languages and ASL is my 6th language which I enjoy most.
My approach to teaching is just out of the ordinary. I prefer to make teaching and learning more fun. Preference approach I use is to help students know why a specific word is signed this or that way, how to cultivate gestures in deaf culture and above all how to improve in ASL. I also teach the background of every context and how its applicable in everyday ASL conversation.
I recently relocated to the Atlanta area. Prior to that I have over 5 years' experience working in investment banking. My students at the Atlanta Area School for Deaf not only include bus drivers but also students who recently became deaf and deaf from foreign countries with foreign sign trying to convert into ASL. I am also familiar with British Sign Language, India Sign Language and Ghana Sign Language.
