The Spanish language is my passion. I have lived in Argentina, studied in Mexico, led conferences in Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela. I taught college level Spanish for 5 years. I was an Adjunct Instructor in Spanish at Georgia State University for one semester. I have a B.A. and M.A. in Spanish, with minors in French, psychology, sociology, and anthropology. My doctorate is in the area of social work. I worked in a refugee resettlement for 15 years. I also have some cross cultural counseling experience.
I am a certified Spanish to English translator from GSU.
I enjoy teaching and look forward to sharing my love for Spanish with you. Tutoring sessions would be either in my home office (my wife or grown son would always be present) or in your home (also with some adult family member present).
I have also proofread doctoral dissertations for students whose language is other than English, assisting with grammar, syntax and sentence structure.
