Algebra 1

I have tutored students in both Algebra I & II. I have recommendations from both.

Algebra 2

I home schooled three boys in Algebra II. I have also successfully tutored students in Algebra II. I have several recommendations.

Chemistry

I have not only studied chemistry as part of my engineering work at Georgia Tech, but I have had ample opportunity to apply and broaden my expertise through my career in the plastics industry. I believe this knowledge and experience gives me the ability to teach chemistry on a broader scale of both the academic and applications.

Electrical Engineering

For a Mechanical Engineering major, Electrical Engineering is like a minor. I have had many EE courses both in school and during my career. In my manufacturing experience I have been directly in charge of designing and installing electrical systems, maintenance of electrical control systems and specifications of electrical equipment. I have trained many individuals to maintain and trouble-shoot electrical systems.

Physics

As an engineering graduate from Georgia Tech I have had multiple courses in college level physics. My manufacturing engineering career has given me a broad understanding of the principles of physics.

Prealgebra

I have home-schooled two of my boys in math through high school and have tutored several in high school math.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
