As an undergraduate nearing my senior year at Georgia State University, I've taken a great deal of pride in my academic career. I'm proud to tell you that I've made the Dean's List on several occasions. Although I haven't focused my energies much in the literary arts, I possess a great deal of knowledge concerning the sciences. My academic focus is currently Chemistry with a concentration in Organic/Biochemistry. I have a heart for teaching chemistry, but I've decided to dedicate my years after graduation to research in the field.
My experience tutoring others consists mainly of leading peer studying sessions, where I've always been great at organizing group study. I've never contracted my tutoring skills out before; however, I did tutor algebra and trigonometry voluntarily throughout high school. I enjoy helping others, and I have an enthusiastic approach to learning. With a very active imagination I'm able to describe methods, principles, and ideas in a way students not only grasp material, but are eager to learn more. Real life application and relevance give even the most unenthusiastic students a spark of interest in the subject matter.
As a young adult I feel confident in my ability to teach others, whom I look upon as peers, in both a casual and timely fashion. I'm confident that I will not only provide improvements in academic progress but an increase in motivation as well.
