As a teacher I am warm, accessible, enthusiastic, caring and I have built a reputation for strong classroom management with the ability to deliver an extensive range of detailed lesson plans. I have always maintained an exceptionally high degree of professionalism while interacting with support staff, peer teachers, parents and administrators. Additionally I have volunteered and coordinated to help before-and after-school activities which allowed me to quickly gain strong understanding of the learning styles of students as well as various educational styles while demonstrating a commitment to the school.

I choose to be a tutor because I have been told by many teachers and parents alike that I have a natural gift for evaluating and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of a student’s learning style. I have often taken on students with learning disabilities or deficiencies that other tutors or teachers have worked with and I have been able to greatly improve their scores, aptitude, and basic level of learning.

I enjoy working with students one-on-one and I am aware that each child may have a different learning style, which is why I feel that the tutoring process is so crucial. Working individually with a child can help them overcome some of the frustration and confusion that comes with learning in a crowded classroom.

I have a great amount of patience and understanding that can help a student develop his/her own learning style, which would guide them to work through their problems at their own pace while ensuring that they truly understand the material. Learning is a step by step process and I know that I can guide each child through the steps they need to complete any and all challenges they may face, not just in school, but in life.

As an Accounting professional and business owner, I am a self-starter and capable of effectively functioning independently in various capacities and settings. I am also known for taking initiative and I'm proficient at meeting challenges and deadlines. As a team player I often exhibit the knowledge and attention to details while producing quality results.

Outstanding Tutor! We Highly Recommend Her! — Margaret is an angel sent from heaven! Our son was behind in 1st grade reading & math comprehension. The first day that Margaret (a.k.a. "Ms. Maggie") came to our home, she was super cordial & wasted no time getting right down to business. My son warmed up to her very quickly and his confidence was lifted immediately. After she left the first session, our son said "SHE SAID THAT I DID A GOOD JOB!" ...
