I am currently an Adjunct Professor at Southern Polytechnic State University teaching two sections of Dynamics, a course that demands proficiency in calculus, trigonometry, geometry, mechanical engineering, reading comprehension & problem solving skills. I previously taught Statics at Mississippi State University. I have a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech & have over 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry. I have extensive multidisciplinary skills including Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Design, Product Development, aircraft systems studies, sizing, synthesis, performance, CAD/CAM/CNC, fabrication and manufacturing, test & evaluation, math, science and computer programming. Give me a problem & I'll show you how to solve it!!
My score on the ACT was 31.
My goal in teaching is to prepare the student with a well-stocked toolbox of problem solving skills with which I would initially lead him/her to the realization of the solution to the problem at hand, but also prepare him/her to independently reach a solution, with the understanding that many times there may be more than one strategy to solve a given problem. My industry experience enables me to present real-world problems in a classroom, educational setting.
