I am an experienced college professor who took an early retirement to become an independent engineer. My background is in electrical engineering and applied math, with over 26 years of experience teaching to college students and mentoring/advising young students in high school, college and industry. I am very proficient and interested in teaching algebra, calculus, SAT preparation courses (Math), GRE Math, statistics, physics, electricity and magnetism, electronics and any subject in electrical engineering. I can teach to students at any level, preferably middle school or higher. I am very comfortable with on-line teaching tools. I have access to a wealth of resources related to learning math and science that a typical tutor does not have. I am father of a college graduate in Biology and another who is a senior in journalism. I have taught and guided my children through high school. I can provide references upon request. My work experience includes 15 years of college teaching, and 12 years of scientific and engineering research in applied research labs such as MIT Lincoln Lab and Georgia Tech Research Institute.
