Hello,

I am a high school teacher in Duluth, GA. I teach classes in Photography, Videography, Art, Computer Science, and Graphic Design. I also have a background in American history and Political Science.

My passion is helping students discover more about the world or about themselves through photography and graphic design. American History

My undergraduate degree was in American history and political science and although I do not actively teach in this subject area at this time, I consider myself an avid scholar in these areas.

General Computer

I teach high school computer science classes that introduce students to how their computers work. We deal with hardware and software as well as how the internet functions.

Geography

My knowledge of geography comes from my undergraduate background in history and political science.

Government & Politics

My undergraduate degree was in American history and political science and although I do not actively teach in this subject area at this time, I consider myself an avid scholar in these areas.

Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is the standard for professional photographers everywhere. Not only do I teach graphic design and photography classes at the high school level but I also have a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography and use photoshop on my own freelance photography projects. I can also provide instruction in Photoshop Lightroom, another fantastic Adobe program.

Proofreading

I have been involved in numerous research projects that required detailed proofreading and editing. As a "reader" for a History professor as an undergraduate, one of my primary tasks was grading papers for grammar and writing mistakes. I've also been involved in a book-length editing project. You will not find a more meticulous proofreader.

Adobe Illustrator

I teach graphic design at the high school level, which includes illustration with vector based graphics in programs like Adobe Illustrator. I also personally use Illustrator for my own freelance graphic design work.

Soccer

I played soccer competitively in high school and college and am currently coach at the local high school at which I teach. I specialize in midfield and offensive training but can provide guidance for any position through the high school level.

Video Production

I teach high school courses in video production. These courses teach working with cameras, lighting, and sound equipment to capture great footage and also teach editing software like iMovie and Windows Live Movie Maker.

Photography

I hold a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from Savannah College of Art and Design. I have experience in many types of photography, from film to digital, from commercial to fine art.

Adobe InDesign

I teach graphic design at the high school level, which includes layout programs like InDesign. I personally use InDesign for my own freelance graphic design work.

Art History

I hold a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from Savannah College of Art and Design. I have done significant research into the history of photography but can also provide instruction in general art history, especially modern art.

Desktop Publishing

I currently teach high school classes in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Advanced instruction is also available for those wanting to use, for example, Excel to manage their personal or business finances. Instruction is also available in Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote).

Macintosh

I am an Apple geek. I can help you navigate, stay organized, and get the most out of your Apple product, whether iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad, or iPhone.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
