I am a graduate student in Clayton State University's M.A.T. English program. M.A.T. English stands for Master of Arts in Teaching English. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with a concentration in Mass Communications. During my English studies, I became acquainted with Shakespeare and many of the most well-known writers from our past; requirements for a well-written essay; grammar and punctuation; and many other topics within the scope of English and literature/literacy.

With Video/Audio Production as my college minor, I fell in love with visual creativity and composition. From recording to editing, and everything in between, I learned through countless nights of work without sleep and highly-anticipated deadlines! But, once that long-awaited final project was complete, I was able to sleep knowing that all of the hard work was well worth it!

At this stage in my life I have grown accustomed to taking standardized tests. What gets me through these would-be spirit-destroyers is the knowledge that patience and strategy are just as important as the skill being tested itself!

As an eldest sister of 4 children, I grew up guiding my siblings through their studies. Now, as a tutor and mentor of teens and young adults, I have become skillful in tutor/tutee and mentor/mentee interaction. I am a huge believer in finding and nurturing learning styles to help build strong, educated leaders of the future!
