For over 30 years, Fabiola has successfully taught in public and private schools. In addition, she has tutored students from Pre-K all the way to adults, and she holds Georgia Educator Certifications in English (6-12), Reading (6-12), Spanish (K-12), and ESOL (K-12). Fabiola currently teaches in a public school in Fayette County.
I have been a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years. I have also taught the Bible study sessions at our annual Summer Youth Camps for 9 years.
I was born and raised in Venezuela, where I earned my B.A in English as a Second Language and taught ESOL for 15 years. Later on, I taught ESOL in Florida before I moved to Georgia. I presently teach ESOL at Sandy Creek High School, Fayette County. Starting out as an ESOL student myself, I know what it takes to become proficient in English.
In order to become an ESOL teacher in Venezuela, I had to take four classes of phonetics and phonology, which I passed with excellent grades. As an ESOL teacher, I use phonics to teach the speaker of other languages the English sounds.
In addition, I have tutored first graders. I have taught them how to read using phonics.
My students are trained to find and correct their mistakes using different strategies and tools. When working with written convention, my students learn to use modifiers carefully, punctuation correctly, to write in complete sentences, and to catch their mistakes. Similarly, students get skills at how to fix writing that is not connected, too vague, too wordy, or boring.
I hold a Georgia educator certificate in Reading 6-12.
As a high school English teacher, I can prepare any student to take the reading portion of the SAT Test. I usually fill in gaps working through a test prep book. After the explanations and practice, the student feels more confident to face the test.

Being born and raised in Venezuela, Spanish is my native language. In addition, I have Georgia Educator Certificate in Spanish, and through the years, I have tutored students of all ages in Spanish (from four-year-olds all the way to adults).
As a literature and composition teacher, I have taught writing to middle school and high school students for several years. Students in the state of Georgia have to pass a writing test in order to graduate, and all of my students, including the ESOL students, have passed that test as first time takers.
