I just graduated from college and like helping people realize their potential. My Bachelors is in political science and I have an associates in Science. I have a good understanding of government and politics and solid understanding of all social sciences (Economics, History, Geography) as well as working knowledge of Math up to Algebra and statistics. I have good understanding of biology and anatomy from my associates studies in Science.

I was home schooled from 4th grade to 12th grade mostly because I have ADHD and Dyslexia and my mom did not feel that the school system knew how to help me. Because of this I have had to learn to cope especially in spelling and math and have a good understanding of how kids struggle learning to spell and read.

I love to figure out ways to make learning fun and interesting. Most of the time I seek to do this by making it practical. If a concept seem to be only in theory it takes most people a while to figure it out but if it is brought into a real life situation many people seem to not only learn better but to enjoy it more.

American History

Few stories in the history of the world are as interesting as the experiment in American Democracy. Boring people can make this boring but they have to try. History is an essential part of an education and something everyone should be able to appreciate.

Biology

My associates degree in in Science I had a strong biological emphasis and love how living things work. as hard as some of the concepts are they are also amazingly fascinating and stimulate the mind and strike awe in how amazing the earth is.

Vocabulary

An increased vocabulary is the only way to actually increase ones ability to learn. Being able to learn more words increase your ability and speed to understand whats going on in a conversation, lecture or text and soak in the information faster and with more comprehension.

European History

It is important to study Europe in order to understand where the U.S. ideological stand and laws came from. The story of Europe can be less interesting than the story of the U.S. because we may not see instant application but its important to expand ones horizon and study other cultures and histories

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is a critical point in learning more complex math. Variables are introduced and students must begin to be able to visualize numbers shifting to different sides of equations and not being able to get an answer from performing a single operation.

Reading

Reading can be a tough thing to grasp for many kids, but it is a skill that must be mastered early in a child's life, otherwise school will become nearly impossible by 3rd or 4th grade. But with focus on phonics and emphasis on comprehension, it is something that can be learned without too much difficulty.

Writing

I hated writing my entire life and never understood it. While I was in College I wrote countless papers of great length and all of a sudden all of the English concepts that I never got I was forced to use extensively. I studied government and international affairs but it is impossible to write and argue college level points without a solid working knowledge of how the English language works.

Government & Politics

This was my major in college and I have a profound fascination with how government particularly the U.S. government works and functions and how politics dominates everyone lives whether or not they chose to be active in their government. I received awards for a paper I wrote on the incumbency factor and love sharing this fascination and making it practical, interesting and fun.

Anatomy

I took college level anatomy and physiology in my first 2 years of college and loved learning all the inter workings of the Human Body. 90% of the subject is memorization of new terms and the remaining 10% is about understanding how Biology and chemistry are applied to how the body works

Economics

Economics is such a fascinating subject to me. In many instances it goes hand in hand with politics but also has many issues that are independent and concepts that are important to grasp in order to make good decisions with one's money later in life not just as an academic subject. I try and show how economics applies to everyday life and make it practical and interesting.

Proofreading

In the countless papers I wrote in college this is a skill that was learned through much trial by fire. It takes years of having teachers and tutors and piers bleed all over your paper with red ink and you eventually learn how to produce much better writing on the first attempt. However, It is never something that you do not need I still like to have a few pairs of eyes look over my work before I submit anything for final grading.

ASVAB

I am planning on joining the Military soon and I passed the ASVAB with a score of 92 which qualifies you for the top jobs in any service. I am more than qualified to help someone pass any of the subjects they are having difficulty with.

Elementary Science

Science is something that I was always good at throughout my academic career. The way the world works is always so interesting to me this level of science is one of the most fun in that all the concepts have almost instant application and can be seen in everyday life. I love to do practical experiments to keep kids attention and make it fun

Swimming

I have been a certified lifeguard since about age 14 and I taught swim lessons for the YMCA for about 2 years as well as teaching private lessons on my own. I work especially well with energetic little boys and anyone that are scared of the water and need more confidence in and around the water.

Chess

Chess is the greatest board game that has ever been created. It requires so much of ones mind and wit and is truly one of the hardest most complex games to master I have been a chess enthusiast since I was 5 or 6 I collect boards and have some from other countries.I have studied Chess on the internet and played actively online the last several years. I am familiar with all the basic tactics and many of the openings and endgame strategies.

Tennis

I have played tennis since I was age 12 and Played competitive tournaments since age 14. I have taught lessons independently as well as for 3 separate organizations in 3 different states. I have worked for 2 different recreation departments and a Country club I love teach tennis of all levels to all ages.
