Hi, I'm Heather and my passion is encouraging science learning and critical thinking.
I graduated with a bachelors in Biology from Georgia Tech and have spent the last year teaching English in China. My goal is not only teaching the subject, but encouraging an interest in learning and exploration of the subject. In the past, I've taught independent high school biology and chemistry courses, using various sources to structure the curriculum. As I mentioned above, I've also taught English as a Second Language and have TEFL certification.
My preference is to start with the text that the student is currently using, then branch out to other sources, so as to fill potential learning gaps and provide supplementary information that may engage the student more thoroughly in the topic. All I request is that your student be open to working hard and learning as much as they can.
