Bonjour,

If you understood my greeting then we are already part-way there. I studied music education/voice during my undergrad and graduate studies. This developed my ear for languages. After my university training I found myself on a short-term assignment in southern France. Oo-la-la! That was not enough so I returned and spent a large part of my career in France. I fell in love with the culture and the language and learned to speak with a native French accent.

Learning a language like French, needs to be done in a low stress environment connecting the language with real-life experiences. There is no magic formula. Each person is an individual and progresses at his of her own rate. My desire and job is to motivate you and find the method that best unlocks your abilities.

I am looking forward to tutoring and sharing my passion with interested students.

In undergraduate and masters studies I was a voice (singing) major. A basic understanding of the vocal mechanism as well a study of diction was part of those studies. This has given me the ability to hear and analyze problems in pronunciation.

I also lived overseas for 20 years and often helped students wanting to improve their English. This has given me empathy and patience for those learning a new language as I was required to do.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
