I am an elementary school teacher with seven years of classroom experience who is currently taking a break from the classroom to raise two kids. My undergraduate and master's degrees are both in Early Childhood Education, and I hold a valid Georgia teaching license.
I think that learning doesn't have to be a chore or struggle for any student and that it should be fun and engaging! I loved being in the classroom, and especially working with elementary aged students. I also have experience volunteering with children outside of the classroom, and feel like I have the ability to relate to students on their level, make them feel comfortable, and help them learn.
I have tutored students before in reading, language arts, and math and feel confident tutoring any elementary subject. I love children's literature and incorporating it into whatever subjects that I teach. My favorite children's books are the "If You Give...." series by Laura Numeroff. I welcome and look forward to the opportunity to help meet your child's educational needs--big or small.
