I know how hard it is to get that first foot planted in a piece of software you've never used before. You don't know where to begin, you don't know the best way to approach problems that arise and tasks you need to achieve. You're certain there must be a better way to do what you're doing, but you don't even know the right questions to ask to find the answers. With a lot of software, the interface alone is overwhelming for the first time user.
I believe I can help. I have little formal experience as a tutor, but I am good at what I do. I have informally taught these skills to friends and family, and have helped draft training materials for professional users. I believe I can help anyone get up to speed in relatively short order. All I ask is a minimum of comfort with a computer and a willingness to learn.
About Me:
I'm a casual person, friendly and a bit shy, but once I'm in my element it's all business. I have been a professional drafter for nearly a decade, and have done design and drafting work for architectural, structural, and civil projects. I have also been an artist all my life, and I'm currently going to school studying Game Art and Design. I have dabbled in web design, graphic design, video production, writing, and more.
Having been both a technician and an artist, I believe I know what it takes to bridge gaps and translate effectively between one world and the other. If you're an engineer who needs to learn to draft, or an artist who needs to pick up some technical skills, I can help.
As a student myself, I've had to learn new software again and again over the past few years. If you're a student who's having trouble getting started or keeping up, I've been there and I can help.
