My primary goal as a tutor, is to encourage and help students truly learn the material not just memorize the material sufficiently to pass a test. I strive to develop a positive interaction with the student such that I can push the student to do more, challenge them when they do not meet expectation and at the same time let the student know that I truly care about them and their success.
My experience include several years of tutoring high school and college students in general science, chemistry, biochemistry, and math. I'm currently an adjunct instructor at two universities in the Atlanta area where I teach chemistry, bioscience and health science. I retired from a Fortune 500 company where I worked as a chemist and then spent many years managing Research and Development in the U.S., Asia, and Latin America. In my tutoring, I always explain how the science they're learning is used in the "real world."
