Bible Studies
At Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Roswell, GA, I have taught Sunday School for pre-school to 5th grade for 3 years. I have been the Director/Teacher in Discovery Ministries (pre-K to 12th grade) for 5 years. I have delivered the message to 1st to 5th graders for 1 year. I have attended Christian Education Teacher training for 12 weeks.
Computer Programming
I an experienced programmer in FORTRAN (8 years), Visual Basic (9 years), ObjectPal (2 years), PHP (2 years).
Electrical Engineering
I have a BSEE. I am also a licensed professional engineer in GA and SC. I have been working in this field for almost 20 years.
Elementary (K-6th)
I have invested in the education of my children with my time and knowledge. My rising 3rd grader is in advanced math, and accelerated language arts (4th grade level), and TAG (talented and gifted). My rising 5th grader is in advanced math and advanced language arts. My rising 10th grader is in the Math and Science Magnet program in high school (Pre-Med).
I administer the READ 2 LEAD program at Dunwoody Springs Elementary School. As part of this year's program, we added a program character, theme song, database driven website, commercials, and prizes for students, teachers, and parents. As a result, over 2,000,000 minutes were logged by students.
I have served as a math tutor in the Discovery Ministries tutoring program at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. I have also served as a teacher and Director of Discovery Ministries.
Fortran
I have developed extensive programs in FORTRAN for Santee Cooper in South Carolina.
Linear Algebra
Linear Algebra was one of the classes that I took as part of my BSEE. I received a B in the course.
Marketing
I have a Master of Marketing Research from University of Georgia.
As the Marketing Manager at Intelligent Switchgear Organization, I designed and implemented a 400 square foot trade show exhibit which included marketing materials, company video, PowerPoint presentations, and a demo unit. I also created the script for, supervised taping and editing, and distributed the company video. I created market segment specific brochures and product catalogs.
Microsoft Access
I have extensive experience in Microsoft Access (16 years). At Intelligent Switchgear Organization, I developed a sales database from scratch with all sales from inception of the company. The database contained 450 reports that were condensed to 9 documents for reporting to parent company. I used MS Access to develop a dynamic sales quote and order reporting system using remote access for salesmen across the country.
For Synergetic Design, I created and populated a database for analyzing multiple lighting audits for Georgia Power Company. For Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, I used Access to develop a registration and sign in application for the youth program. All programs included tables, forms, queries, reports, and Visual Basic modules.
Microsoft Outlook
I have been using Microsoft Outlook for over 15 years. I know how to use all aspects including the calendar and rules wizards. I also use Word along with Outlook to send out personalized mass emails.
PHP
I am self-taught in PHP and use it extensively with MySQL in ecommerce websites, a secure reading log website, and training website.
Study Skills
I am a life long learner who has received high GPAs in all degrees. I received a 3.82 and 3.85 in two Master's programs while working full time and caring for two children. I also received a 4.00 in a BSIT accelerated degree program while working a full time job and caring for two children.
Visual Basic
I studied VB as part of my BSIT degree from DeVry University. I taught myself how to use VB with database connectivity and developed several applications for Intelligent Switchgear Organization. I also used VB to develop a registration and sign in program for the youth ministry at my church.
Web Design
I have been designing websites since 2000. I have designed all of my websites from scratch using HTML, Frames, PHP, MySQL databases, GIF animations, and Photoshop. I develop unique graphics and buttons for the websites that I design. Sample websites: 3rd World Bikers Club in Georgetown SC (animated motorcycles, 3 worlds background, custom buttons, guestbook, picture gallery, content), a website selling puppies (custom graphics and buttons), electronic resume websites (secure documents, custom pages for each school and employer with links to external websites, custom buttons, frames), ecommerce websites (Paypal shopping cart, MySQL product database using PHP for display, scrolling text, custom buttons and logo design, social media content and links, forms), Read2Lead website for Dunwoody Springs Elementary School PTA (secure login, student site, teacher site, and admin sites, PHP and MySQL database for student information and minutes read, forms), etc.
