My name is Abby. I have a bachelors in communications from High Point University, and am planning on returning to school to receive a Masters in Education so I can become an Elementary English Teacher.
When it comes to tutoring, English is my forte. I know every little facet of the language including, and not limited to: grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, sentence structure, writing styles, thesis, research papers, language barriers, English as a second language to name a few. I became an English tutor for undergrad and graduate students at my college, and did so for 3 years out of the 4 I was there.
At one point during my tutoring time in college, I came to tutor a woman named Meghan, who was finishing her masters for elementary education. A lot of her work involved teacher lesson plans and projects she had to write up herself as if she were really going to teach a class. 1 night of every week I met with her to go over sentence structure, grammar, organization, and the content involved in these lesson plans she had to turn in as an assignment to her professor. The lesson plans totaled over 36 by the end of the semester, and each one, I helped Meghan receive an A.
I want to help your child succeed in his or her class, and to teach the confidence needed to achieve the best grade he/she can receive. I am here to help, so please let me know how I can do that for you.
