Personal Description: I am currently in the process of writing up my PhD thesis in telecommunication engineering. I hold a first class degree in electronic engineering. I'm a friendly and sociable person who likes to help students achieve their potential.
Tutoring Experience: I have more than 6 years tutoring experience with more than 100 students now. Virtually all getting the grades they needed and many making impressive gains. I have also been a lab demonstrator for electronics and C programming undergraduate students for the past 3 years at the university of Surrey.
Tutoring Approach: I am a systematic, organized and patient tutor. I have the passion to help students achieve their potential through understanding their needs, evaluating and enhancing their core skills. Basically I teach the topics through doing the related problem exercises. Isaac Newton said "an example is worth a thousand precepts" and it is very true, you don't understand the theory until you can use it to solve tangible problems.
In practice this means focusing on a problem set taken from the student's materials and when problems arise we go back over the related theory briefly filling in any gaps. We do this until you're getting most of the problems right and then and only then do we start a new topic. It is a fail safe approach because in only moving on once you have learned something properly you start to put down strong foundations and that is when the confidence comes.
